Synopsis:
|
|
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to secure one or more qualified and experienced vendors to supply blood glucose monitoring systems and associated consumables for use across Saskatchewan’s healthcare system. The awarded solution(s) will support high-quality diabetes care in acute care, long-term care, and EMS operations.
SCOPE OF PRODUCT AND SERVICES:
This procurement covers two distinct categories of glucose-monitoring devices:

Hospital Grade Glucose Meters

Intended for use in acute-care hospitals and long-term care facilities.

Devices must meet clinical accuracy standards, support point-of-care workflows, and integrate with electronic clinical systems where applicable.

Handheld Grade Glucose Meters

Intended for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) use.

Devices must be portable, durable, capable of rapid testing in variable environmental conditions, and suitable for field emergency care.
Expected Outcomes: This procurement aims to implement a reliable, standardized blood glucose monitoring solution across Saskatchewan facilities. Expected outcomes include accurate point-of-care testing, strong data connectivity, efficient clinical workflows, dependable equipment, support for hospital, long-term care, and EMS environments.
