Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour Generator for Containment Level 3 (CL3) Decontamination

LifeLabs on behalf of Saskatchewan Health Authority (“SHA”) is currently inviting vendors (defined below) to provide proposals for the supply of certain goods (the “Goods”) as further outlined in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”). An individual or entity responding to this RFP is referred to in this RFP as a “vendor”.

SHA intends to reduce overall costs while improving quality, safety, and service through technical innovation. As part of this effort, SHA has initiated a review of Hydrogen Peroxide vapour generation for the decontamination of pathogens in a CL3 laboratory. Based on that review SHA has identified the need for a Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour Generator for Containment Level 3 (CL3) decontamination at Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory (RRPL), Regina.

This RFP sets forth the key requirements for a Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour Generator for Containment Level 3 (CL3) decontamination and solicits a detailed response from vendors that shall include service, quality, technology enhancements, pricing, and performance commitments. We invite vendors to partner with SHA to provide an enhanced solution for CL3 laboratory decontamination at RRPL. Vendors are encouraged to propose creative and innovative solutions that would:
• Ensure prompt service and training on analyzer
• Ensure instrument is able to be used in the existing facility with no or minimal modifications or renovations
• Streamline manual processes
• Ability to be deployed quickly in any room within the CL3
• Enhance the safety environment in the laboratory
• Provide full room decontamination that can be verified upon each use
• Compliant with the Human Pathogens and Toxins regulations
• Compliant with the Health of Animals Regulations
• Require minimal verification/validation prior to commissioning
• Uses disinfectants and neutralizing chemicals that are effective against Risk Group 3 (RG3) pathogens
