Bid Advertisement: 24-024 Cherapple & 1000 N Flooding Project

RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bidnet Direct for the construction of the 2025 Cherapple & 1000 N Flooding Project will be received by Taggart Bowen, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bidnet Direct until May 29, 2025 at 1:00pm and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bidnet Direct at bidnetdirect.com (Select the search bar > enter “City of Orem” > search).

BIDDING QUESTIONS – Use Bidnet Direct to submit questions and download documents relating to bid items, specifications, and other technical questions. The project engineer is Erica Zaugg (801) 229-7549. A Mandatory Pre-bid meeting will be held on May 15, 2025 at 1:00pm in the Community Development Ponderosa Conference Room located on the second floor of the new Orem City Center building at 56 North State Steet, Orem UT 84057.

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained May 8, 2025 on Bidnet Direct under 2025 Cherapple & 1000 N Flooding Project or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Community Development Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057. There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Bidnet Direct. There will be a $20 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specifications. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The WORK will consist of installation of storm drain infrastructure in the Cherapple neighborhood and 1000 N including: storm drain manholes, pretreatment catch basins with snouts, deep sumps, regular sumps, concrete storm drain line, removal of existing sump, removal and replacement of monolithic curb, gutter and sidewalk. Also included are improvements to the frontage of the Heather Road LDS chapel including: reworking of drive approaches and sidewalk, curb wall behind sidewalk, landscape restoration, and removal and replacement of curb and gutter.

SITE OF WORK: The sites of the WORK are located in the Cherapple Neighborhood (Heather Road, 1725 N, Sunrise Drive, 1780 N, 620 E), and 1000 N (900 W to 840 W) in Orem, UT.
