Description

Looking for sources that can provide Weapons Umbilical Reliability Test Set (WURTS).

The WURTS will be used as a stand-alone test set used to quickly assess the end-to-end functionality of MIL-STD-1760 weapons umbilical cables and Joint Miniature Munition Interface (JMMI) Cables.

Description/Specifications

1 Testing Ability: MIL-STD-1760 and Joint Miniature Munition Interface Cables (JMMI).

2 Test Duration: Must complete a single cable test within 45-60 seconds from initiation.

3 Calibration: The test set must accurately test the required umbilicals without the need for calibration.

4 Operation: The test set must be stand-alone, powered by standard, commercially available D-Cell batteries.

5 Mobility: The test set must be portable and less than 40 lbs.

6 Protection: The test set must be in a weatherproof, rugged case with a closable lid to protect the umbilical interface and components from damage.

7 Testing Requirements: The item must assist an operator by allowing a quick and simple indication of the status of an umbilical of pass or fail, illuminated with either a LED or “pass/fail” display, and must test each wire for continuity, open, and short circuit conditions. A self-contained diagnostic aid will be included to allow failures to be identified or referenced to each pin or wire corresponding to the failure.

8 Compatibility: The item must be compatible with umbilicals from all current vendors producing MIL-STD-1760 including “Red Ring”/FRCS cables and JMMI cables.
