Description

The District of Fort St. James is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced Proponents to develop a Labour Market Research Plan in support of the District’s participation in the Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT)’s Rural and Remote Employment Initiatives Fund Labour Market Research Plans program. The District has a budget of $50,000 to complete this Labour Market Research Plan.
The Labour Market Research Plan will provide a comprehensive analysis of Fort St. James’ current and emerging labour market conditions and will help identify labour challenges, opportunities, and future workforce requirements. The findings will help inform the training, education, and strategic decision making to strengthen local employment stability and increase economic resiliency.
The successful Proponent will deliver a District-specific Labour Market Research Plan that incorporates all required elements outlined by NDIT, including a detailed assessment of workforce demographics, a review of the current business landscape, and current and predicted employment opportunities in the community or surrounding region where a skills needs and labour gaps analysis for future opportunities is completed. All information on job skills and occupations should align with Occupational and Skill Information System by Statistics Canada.
