The Town of Canton is seeking bids for the Subarea22and16SewerRehabilitationProject,ContractNo.25-008S.
Sealed bids for Contract No. 25-008S, “Canton Subarea 22 and 16 Sewer Rehabilitation”, shall be received in the Department of Public Works Administration/Engineering Office at 801 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021 until 12:00p.m. Local Time on August13,2025, at which place and time said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Salah Meeting Room, 2

The work consists of the rehabilitation of sewer segments in the Town of Canton to eliminate infiltration through the use of trenchless repair methods to rehabilitate sewer segments and sewer manholes. Bidders shall demonstrate sufficient experience with trenchless repair methods. In general, the work consists of the following approximate quantities: 8,800 linear feet of cured-in-place lining, including heavy cleaning and inspection of various diameter sewers, and rehabilitation of 57 sewer manholes.
The project shall be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from the date specified in Section 00650 Notice to Proceed.

and becoming a registered bidder. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents will not be available. Only bidders registered with Kleinfelder will receive Addenda.
The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the value of the bid in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders, Section 00100 Article 12.1.
A performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders. Every bid bond, every performance bond, and every payment bond issued for any construction work in the Commonwealth shall be the bond of a surety company organized pursuant to Section 105 of Chapter 175 or a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth under the provisions of Section 106 of said Chapter 175 and be approved by the U.S. Department of Treasury and acceptable as sureties and reinsurers on federal bonds under title 31 of the United States Code, Sections 9304 to 9308.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded) after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27G, and by the Secretary of Labor, under the Provisions of the Code of Federal Regulations, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request, if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract.

The bidding and award of the Contract shall be in full compliance with Section 39M inclusive of Chapter 30 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids. A bid which includes, for any item, a unit cost that is abnormally low or high may be rejected as unbalanced. The right is also reserved to accept any bid deemed to be best for the interest of the Town of Canton, MA. Department of Public Works.
