This is amendment 2 to the combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
FA820125R0001 is issued as an (RFQ) or request for proposal (RFP). The contractor shall provide industrial water treatment chemicals and testing reagents for the Boiler Systems at Hill AFB, Little mountain and the Utah Test and Training Range. Chemical additives are used to improve feed-water quality, steam purity, and to correct the problems caused by the feed-water impurities, which could impact boiler operation and efficiency. There are currently 28 active boiler plants on Hill AFB, one of which is used only in the summer when the main boiler plants are shut off. Quantities purchased by Hill AFB during the year may vary depending on weather condition, actual needs shall be dictated by each individual delivery order. The contemplated contract will be a five-Year IDIQ with a five-year ordering period and an optional six-month ordering period.

Offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Products and Commercial Services, with its offer.
Sub-Factor 2 of the Evaluation Factors has been removed resulting in physical samples no longer being required. The solicitation is being extended through 21 April 25 at 1200 hours MST.
