Golf Cart Rentals

The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking bids from qualified firms (the “Bidder” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and bids will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 3:00 pm (local prevailing time).

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to establish a Contract with a qualified Contractor for the furnishing/provision of golf cart rentals to the Department of Parks and Recreation's Special Events and Promotions Division, for various special events throughout the calendar year, on an 'as needed basis'. The City reserves the right to add and delete events and to adjust event quantities as necessary.

The Special Events team utilizes both cargo and passenger golf carts to support the safe and efficient operation of City events. Cargo golf carts are essential for transporting equipment, supplies, tools, and materials throughout event sites, reducing manual labor and allowing staff to quickly respond to operational needs. Passenger golf carts provide transportation for event staff, city officials, performers, vendors, volunteers, and individuals with mobility needs across large venues, improving accessibility, coordination, and response times. The use of both types of golf carts enhances overall event logistics, operational efficiency, and public service while supporting the successful execution of events.
