R1349: Department-Wide Auditing Services

The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) on behalf of the Office of Auditor General (“OAG”) is seeking proposals from audit and consulting firms experienced and capable in providing audit and consulting services to assist the NYCDOE’s OAG in carrying out its internal audit function.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) solicits proposals primarily for assistance with the planning and execution of statutorily mandated annual fiscal performance and fraud, waste, and mismanagement audits of 40-60 schools sampled from the approximately 1,859 NYCDOE schools. In addition to the state mandated school audits, OAG also performs numerous different audits and provides consulting services within the NYCDOE. The successful proposer will be expected to provide or assist OAG in providing these services to other divisions within the NYCDOE, as well as providing incidental and informal consultation to OAG on various matters, as needed.

This RFP may result in one (1) requirement’s contract agreement. The awarded contract will be for a term of three (3) years. The NYCDOE reserves the unilateral option to extend the contract for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. It is anticipated that services will commence on or about January 2025.
