Description


The City of Roberta is requesting statements of qualifications from engineering firms interested in undertaking design and construction management of water and/or sewer improvements to be funded in part through the FY 2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and other grant programs. Interested parties are invited to secure an RFQ package from Cammi Sanchez, Middle Georgia Regional Commission, 3661 Eisenhower Parkway, Suite MB102, Macon, Georgia 31206 by calling (478) 751-6160 or emailing csanchez@mg-rc.org. To be considered, all interested parties must submit their response to Cammi Sanchez at the address listed above, no later than 5:00 pm, April, 7, 2026. Proposals received after this date and time or at any other location will not be considered.

This is a Section 3 contract opportunity. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. This project must ensure that employment and other economic opportunities generated by CDBG funds shall, to the greatest extent feasible, and consistent with federal, state and local laws and regulations, be directed toward low and very low-income persons and to business concerns which provide economic opportunities to low and very low-income persons.

This project must affirmatively further fair housing. Steps must be taken to analyze impediments to fair housing choice and overcome identified impediments. This project must also ensure that no qualified individual with a disability shall, by reason of such disability, be excluded from the participation in or be denied the benefits of services, programs, or activities of a public entity, or be subjected to discrimination of any such entity.
