STAND UP FORKLIFT
Scope: It is the intent of the City of Columbus, Division of Sewerage and Drainage to obtain informal bids to
establish a contract for the purchase of one (1) stand up forklift.
Specification Information:
The purpose of these specifications is to describe a stand up forklift in accordance with the enclosed
terms, conditions and specifications. Equipment shall be new and unused. All parts not specifically
mentioned, which are necessary to provide a complete unit, or normally furnished as standard
equipment shall be furnished. The parts shall conform in strength, quality of material and
workmanship to what is normally provided in the industry.
Forklift: or equivalent to meet the following specifications:
* Forklift shall be all electric
* Forklift shall be a minimum capacity of 3,000 pounds and a maximum capacity of 4,000 pounds
* Truck shall be either 3 or 4 wheel configuration
* Truck shall be stand up type fork truck
* Shall have 3 stage mast
* Shall have a maximum fork height capable of at least 180 inches
* Mast shall have a maximum overall lowered height of 90 inches
* Wheelbase shall be a minimum 45 inches and a maximum of 54 inches
* Truck shall have a minimum ground clearance of 32%
* Truck shall have a maximum chassis width of 44 inches
* Shall have a mast tilt forward minimum of 3 degrees and backward minimum of 5 degrees
* Shall have integral side shifter with fork positioner
* Shall have fork size of 1.5" X 4" x 42"
* Wheels shall be cushion type or solid rubber type
* Shall have all standard equipment
* Vendor shall supply properly rated charging equipment or have onboard integrated charger
* Operator training for 8-10 City of Columbus personnel
* Shall include operator's manual
* Shall include parts and repair manual in print or digital copy
Delivery:
* The successful bidder(s) assume the responsibility for the truck coordination including, but not limited
to, transportation and insurance for complete unit(s) while in transport and until final acceptance by the
City of Columbus.
* All vehicles/equipment must be delivered with all fluid levels at the manufacturer's recommended full
capacity. All manufacturer's pre-delivery service and inspections should be completed prior to delivery
to the City of Columbus. Written certification of the complete vehicle's actual tare weight shall be
included when the vehicle is delivered.

* The City of Columbus shall be notified no less than 24 hours prior to actual delivery by notifying Daniel
Fennell (or designee,) at the Division of Sewerage and Drainage (614) 645-6407, twenty-four (24)
hours in advance. Delivery shall be F.O.B. destination prepaid and allowed to

Warranty:
* Warranty Period: The warranty period shall be a Minimum One Year Full Machine Warranty, at no
additional charge. Bidders shall submit copies of the warranty with the bid proposal.
