Hankins Pond Dam Rehabilitation Project

Project Description: The Wayne County (Pennsylvania) Commissioners are soliciting bids for the Rehabilitation of the Hankins Pond Dam. A brief description of the project: Demolition of the existing concrete fire pond, partial demolition of the existing earthen dam; construction of a new “U” shaped spillway, pedestrian bridge, lined fire pond with a dry hydrant, and associated site work.
A Prevailing Wage determination from the PA Dept of Labor & Industry will apply to this project. Bid packages including specifications, scope of services and bid documents may be obtained at no cost via PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).
Proposals will be received electronically via PennBid until 3:00 PM on Monday, June 16, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened at the specially scheduled County Commissioners’ meeting at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Bids may be held by the Wayne County Commissioners for a period not to exceed nine (9) days from the date of Bid Opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidder, prior to the award of the Contract. The Wayne County Commissioners will award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder, reserving the right to waive any informality and accept or reject any and all Bids. A bid bond for 10% of the bid amount shall be provided with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount shall be provided by the successful bidder within 20 days of the award.
