Title: Citywide Research Services for Milpitas Community Surveys
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 1/15/2026
Due Date: 2/19/2026
The City of Milpitas is seeking proposals from qualified firms to conduct a variety of community surveys, including, but not limited to, an annual comprehensive citywide survey, potential ballot measure assessments, and other community engagement initiatives. These services are essential for gathering input from residents to help City leadership understand public sentiment, assess community needs, and prioritize programs and projects that will shape the City’s future.
Based on the results of this Request for Proposal (RFP), the selected firm shall design, administer, and analyze statistically valid surveys that capture a representative cross-section of residents’ perspectives to ensure the data reflects the diversity of the Milpitas community. The resulting insights will inform the City Council, administration, and other stakeholders in making data-driven decisions that benefit the community.
Understanding resident perspectives is critical to effective governance and long-term community trust. To support this, the City of Milpitas seeks to gather meaningful input through scientifically designed community surveys. Survey results will provide the City with essential data to guide budget development, inform policy decisions, and support the planning and implementation of City initiatives and potential ballot measures.
Engaging the community in inclusive ways ensures that residents’ voices are considered when shaping policies, budgets, and programs. Input from residents will help identify priorities, concerns, and preferences, enabling the City to make decisions aligned with public interests and community values.
A key objective of this effort is to conduct scientifically robust and statistically valid surveys. To ensure results accurately represent the diversity of Milpitas, the research must employ sound methodologies and appropriate sampling techniques, such as random sampling. Statistically valid data will provide the City with a high level of confidence in the findings, supporting evidence-based planning and policy decisions that respond to community needs and expectations.
