Description:

The City of University City MO will be relocating their police and court operations from temporary trailers that they are currently housed in and are adjacent to the new renovated Annex (AN) for Police and Trinity (TR) for courts buildings. This relocation is expected to occur from late March through April 2026. The plan is to move in groups by department with each daily move to be between 4 and 12 offices/staff. Moves may occur on non-consecutive days to allow for computers and other functions to be completed behind each move. Every effort will be made to share final move plans with enough advance notice to schedule resources. Most of the office furniture and file cabinets will already be in the AN & TR buildings as part of the construction project. There will be some furniture, file cabinet, supplies and other miscellaneous items to be moved. All computers, phones, desktop and standalone printers and personal items will be moved by PD & Courts staff.

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) not a hard bid. It is intended to establish hourly/daily rates for moving technicians and equipment and an estimated budget based on a theoretical plan.

Both AN & TR will have access to elevators. Please note however, that the elevator in AN is less than standard size. The trailers are accessible through an ADA compliant ramp and several stairs. Because this will still be an active police facility during the move, ingress and access to both AN, TR and the trailers will be at limited points and may be subject to change or pause due to police operations.

In your response, please follow the instructions below so that we can evaluate each proposal’s response for best value to the City. In a separate section of your response, we welcome alternate information that may not have been considered or included in the RFP.
