Communications Restrictions

Sandusky during the announcement and selection process:
During the time period between advertisement and the announcement of final consultant selection,
communication with consultants (or their agents) shall be limited as follows:
Communications which are strictly prohibited:
Any discussions or marketing activities related to this specific project.
Allowable communication included:
Technical or scope of services questions specific to the project RFP requirements.
Invitation
The City invites qualified office furniture suppliers to submit qualifications to undertake the design
consultation, purchase, delivery, and installation of certain new office furniture for the Recreation
Center that will be located at 709 Rockwell Street. Qualification packages are due no later than 12:00pm
on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
Project Description & Scope of Services
With guidance from an internal design committee comprised of internal City staff, QCI and Schmid
Architects, the selected company will oversee the design consultation, purchase, delivery, and
installation of certain new office furniture for the Project.
More specifically, the selected company will:
* Work with City staff and departments, the general contractor, and the Architect in providing
design consultation services for the selection of certain office furniture for the outfitting of the
Project including but not limited to desks, workstations, conference tables and chairs, and filing
cabinets and systems.
* Oversee the bulk purchase of all selected items.
* Oversee the delivery of all items to the Project and to their respective location.
* Inspect the quality of each item received prior to installation.
* Oversee and be responsible for placement and installation of each item.
Project Schedule
Qualifications Due to City: Thursday, October 8, 2026
Selection of Design Consultant: Thursday, October 15, 2026
Target Design Completion: as required to meet project needs
Target Installation Start: 1st quarter 2027
Target Installation Completion: 2nd quarter 2027

Suspended or Debarred Firms
Firms included on the current federal or state list of firms suspended or debarred are not eligible for
selection.
Compliance with Title of Civil Rights Act of 1964
The City of Sandusky, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat.252,42 U.S.C.
2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, herby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that
any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all bidders including disadvantaged business
enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and
will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-
income status, or limited English proficiency in consideration for an award.
Requirements for Selection Process
A. Instructions for Preparing and Submitting Qualifications
1. Provide the information requested in the Submittal Content (Item B below), in the same order
listed, in a letter signed by an officer of the firm. Do not send additional forms, resumes,
brochures, or other material.
2. Submittals shall be limited to twelve (12) 8 12 x 11 single-sided pages, of which up to two (2)
pages are allowed for the Project Approach (Item B.5 below). This does not include a one-page
cover letter.
3. Please adhere to the following requirements in preparing and binding submittals:
a. Use a minimum font size of 12-point and maintain margins of 1" on all sides.
b. Page numbers must be centered at the bottom of each page.
c. Use 8 12 x 11 paper only.
d. Bind submittals by stapling at the upper left-hand corner only.
e. Do not provide tabbed inserts or other features that may interfere with machine copying.
B. Submittal Content
1. Qualifications of your firm to complete the requested services.
2. List significant sub-consultants or preferred vendors, length of working relationships, quality
of product.
3. List the Project Manager and other key staff members, including key sub-consultant staff.
Include staff members that will be responsible for the work, and the project responsibility of
each. Address the experience of key staff members on similar projects, staff qualifications, and
related projects your proposed team has been involved in, and to what extent their
involvement was.
4. Describe the capacity of your assigned staff and their ability to perform the work described
herein within a timely manner to meet deadlines, relative to present workload, and the
availability of the relevant staff.
5. Locations of key staff and main offices.
6. Provide a description of your Project Approach, not to exceed two pages.
Items 1 through 5 must be included within the 12-page body of the submittal. Any remaining space
within the twelve (12) pages may be utilized to provide pertinent personnel resumes or additional
information concerning general qualifications. Unrelated staff members and project information is
discouraged.
