Request for Proposals for Tourist Lodging Services

The City of Port Hueneme invites qualified and experienced developers, operators, and/or firms to submit proposals for the development, financing, construction, operation, and management of a tourist lodging project on Lot C at Hueneme Beach Park.

The Lot C site is approximately 34,000 square feet, located adjacent to the fishing pier and promenade. The City’s Parks & Recreation Master Plan identifies Lot C as a location for unique overnight accommodations, such as tiny homes, Airstream trailers, or other glamping-style units, designed to increase tourism and enhance the economic vitality of Port Hueneme’s waterfront.

The City seeks a partner who can deliver a financially sustainable, environmentally responsible, and community-oriented project that:

• Provides high-quality lodging experiences for visitors.
• Integrates with the broader beach amenities (pier, promenade, lighthouse, memorials, swing set, volleyball courts).
• Enhances the City’s role as a regional visitor destination.
• Demonstrates innovative design and operational practices.
