Description

Industry Engagement Event: Fiscal Year 2025 Construction Portfolio

The 18 Contracting Squadron is pleased to announce an exclusive industry engagement event, providing local vendors (prime and subcontractors) with a unique opportunity to gain insight into the Fiscal Year 2025 Construction portfolio for the 718 CES, US Army Garrison Okinawa, and ISMC Military Family Housing.

Event Details:

  • Date: 19 February 2025

  • Time: 9:00 am - 11:00 am

  • Location: Schilling Community Center, Kadena Air Base

Purpose: The purpose of this event is to engage with industry stakeholders, understand the local market, and identify potential limiting factors associated with our upcoming construction projects. We aim to gather information about your company's capabilities, interests, and availability, as well as solicit feedback on our proposed procurement approach, contract terms, and conditions. This event will also serve as a platform to establish relationships, foster a collaborative environment, and encourage open communication, trust, and cooperation.

Project Overview: We are seeking contractors to accomplish a wide range of individual construction tasks, including:

  • Design/build projects (ranging from 35% to 100% level of effort)

  • Renovation and addition/upgrade projects

  • Specific work in Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning, electrical, mechanical, and other major trades

Requirements: In-house design capability or ready access to design capability is required. Awards are anticipated to be in the range of $500,000 to $25,000,000 (or the equivalent in Japanese yen). The work will be performed entirely on the island of Okinawa, Japan, and the successful offeror must be licensed and registered to perform work in Japan.

Procurement Strategy: During the event, we will provide an overview of the expected process for executing requirements using open market competitive procedures. This will be a valuable opportunity for industry partners to understand our procurement strategy and prepare for upcoming contracting opportunities.

Registration: To attend this event, please send your interest (including company name, name of attendees, and CAGE code) to the points of contact listed below by 11 February 2025:

  • SrA Joseph V. Allen Jr. (joseph.allen.52@us.af.mil)

  • Mr. Nick Apsens (nichalos.apsens@us.af.mil)

We look forward to engaging with you and exploring potential opportunities for collaboration.
