Century Hills Neighborhood Connections Phase 1

Century Hills Drive is a local road in the Town of Rocky Hill that forms an east-west loop that begins and terminates on Cold Spring Road and carries a low volume of vehicles per day. Along Century Hills Drive are many condominium developments and apartments without a safe walking path to connect to the existing concrete sidewalk on Cold Spring Road that provides a connection to local shopping, restaurants, and banks.

The proposed project consists of the construction of approximately 3,200 linear feet of a new 4-foot wide concrete sidewalk with 5-foot wide concrete passing areas and some sections of 5.5 -foot wide monolithic concrete curb and sidewalk along the southern/eastern side of Century Hills Drive from the intersection of Cold Spring Road to the intersection of Kingsley Court. This sidewalk will be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG) and will provide a safe, pedestrian-friendly route.  Also included in this project are new concrete curb ramps and bituminous curb patching.
