CITY OF HOLYOKE Invitation to Bid Interpretation Services HPSHolyoke Public Schools is soliciting sealed bids from qualified vendors to provide interpretation services for students, families, and staff.

This procurement is conducted pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30B, §5 (Invitation for Bids).

The successful bidder must have the capacity to fulfill a high volume of interpretation requests on a weekly basis, including during school hours and evenings, and provide both consecutive and simultaneous modes of interpretation in Spanish, Haitian Creole, Arabic and American Sign language, with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

Vendors must be able to assign professional interpreters who are trained in the methodologies, principles and ethics of educational interpretation, including confidentiality protocols. Interpreters should also possess knowledge of medical, legal, academic, and K-12 educational terminology in the United States with familiarity with the local context and cultural diversity of Western Massachusetts.
