SAWS District Cooling System Controls

The San Antonio Water System (“SAWS”) is pursuing a Request for Interest (“RFI”) seeking qualified Respondents to provide information and details related to control and optimization of district chilled water plants. This information may be used for the purposes of studying, comparing and evaluating options for a unified control and monitoring system for the existing SAWS district chilled water systems and customer connections both existing and going forward. Plant level control should provide chiller plant coordination of the equipment and ancillary components such as pumps, cooling towers, valve control, etc.  Both industrial controls using a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller or DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems using a programmable controller, will be considered and evaluated.
