ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Separate sealed bids for the NEW TRUCK SCALE INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT OF LOAD CELLS ON EXISTING TRUCK SCALE will be received by Chicot-Desha Metropolitan Port Authority at the Port Warehouse* located outside McGehee, Arkansas, until 11:00 o’clock A.M. on October 21, 2025, then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
*DIRECTIONS: From McGehee go south on Hwy. 65 to the Hwy. 65-Hwy. 208 intersection. Turn left on Hwy. 208 and go east to the Mississippi River levee. Veer left and go 3/4 mile to end of pavement.

The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following locations:

Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Miller Newell Engineers, 510 Third Street, Newport, AR 72112, upon payment of $50.00 for each set. There shall be no refund of deposit.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
In accordance with Act 150 of 1965, as amended, all bidders shall conform to the requirements of the Arkansas State Licensing Law for Contractors.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
