Defense Health Agency hereby publicizes its intention to solicit, negotiate, and award a Commercial, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract on a noncompetitive basis with Rad Source Technologies, Inc. The requirement is for the procurement of preventative maintenance services of Rad Source Technologies equipment.
Rad Source Technologies is the only responsible source capable of providing extended warranty and maintenance services for the Rad Source 3400 Revolution Blood Irradiator. The Rad Source 3400 is a highly specialized piece of equipment used for blood irradiation, and its proper functioning is critical to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining patient safety. Rad Source Technologies, as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), possesses unique qualifications that make them the sole provider capable of fulfilling the contract requirements. These qualifications include proprietary knowledge of the equipment’s design, access to specialized tools and components, and the ability to perform warranty services without voiding the existing warranty or compromising the equipment’s
performance.
A determination by the government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. However, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The applicable NAICS Code is 811210 and the business size standard is $34 Million.
