Summary:The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for the purposes of entering into a contract through competitive negotiations for the professional services of an Architectural/ Engineering firm, authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with experience in designing conversions to existing spaces to include open unit storage, administrative offices, and multi-purpose space, for military installations.
The renovated facility will be approximately 19,740 SF in area and will be designed with the current version of the Virginia Rehabilitation Code and the Virginia Construction Code. The renovated building will be one story and be fully protected with a NFPA-13 sprinkler system. The building occupancies will be mixed use, non-separated, per 508.3 of the IBC. Although a significant portion of the building will be use Group B (Business), for code analysis, the primary group is S-1 (Storage)
and the construction type is II-B, non- combustible construction.
Inquiries, including requests for the link for submitting proposals, must be received by 2:00 pm
local time on November 19, 2024.
PROPOSALS SHALL BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY, THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SECURE ACCESS FILE EXCHANGE (DoD SAFE). PROPOSALS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED BY ANY OTHER MEANS. THE AGENCY WILL PROVIDE THE DoD SAFE LINK TO
INTERESTED FIRMS, AS REQUESTED, ONLY. THE LINK WILL BE ISSUED TO ALL REQUESTANTS SIMULTANEOUSLY ON NOVEMBER 21, 2024 (14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE DUE DATE)
