On-Call Engineering & Architectural Design Services

Battery Park City Authority d/b/a Hugh L. Carey Battery Park City Authority (“BPCA”) requests proposals (individually a “Proposal” and collectively the “Proposals”) from engineering and architectural (“E/A”) firms (individually, a “Proposer” and collectively, the “Proposers”) to provide BPCA with on-call E/A services (the “On-Call E/A Services”) from time to time as requested by BPCA, for the design of small- to medium-scale, unexpected, and/or emergency Battery Park City projects for which separate, stand-alone procurement processes and E/A contracts would not be feasible or effective (collectively, the “On-Call Projects”).

BPCA seeks expertise and experience in a broad range of engineering and architectural services, as well as design-related consultation services, for its On-Call Projects. A non-exhaustive listing of potentially relevant engineering/design disciplines is provided below (the “On-Call Disciplines”); however, it is not essential that Proposers have expertise in all of the specified disciplines. BPCA seeks Proposers which are able, through their respective in-house team members to provide services associated with one (1) or more of the On-Call Disciplines (the Proposer’s “Proffered Disciplines”). The On-Call Disciplines include, but are not limited to:

• Acoustic Consulting; • Architecture and Space Planning; • Audio / Visual Technology Engineering; • Civil Engineering; • Code Consulting; • Cost Estimating; • Environmental Engineering; • Geotechnical Engineering; • Graphic Design Consulting; • Hydraulic Engineering; • Interior Design; • Landscape Architecture; • Lighting Design; • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Engineering; • Peer Review; • Design-Related Public Outreach Consulting; • Rendering Creation; • Security Consulting; • Site and Property Boundary Surveying • Special Inspections; • Structural Engineering; and, • Urban Planning.

A detailed range of potential scope of work elements for which the selected Proposer(s) will be responsible, on various projects assigned during the contract term, is attached as Exhibit A (the “Work”)
