Dans le cadre de la stratégie énergétique de l’Université Laval il est nécessaire d’utiliser une énergie plus verte pour chauffer les bâtiments de l’institution. À cet effet l’utilisation de l’énergie électrique doit être priorisée versus les énergie fossiles (gaz naturel, mazout…). Via le projet actuel 2 nouvelles chaudières seront achetées. Vu l’importance des équipements électriques de haute puissance (transformateur à sec 25 KV, 2 cellules de commutation 25 KV et une cellule de commutation 13,8 KV), inhérents à l’installation des chaudières, et surtout les délais de livraison nous procédons donc par préachat.
