Merchandise Supplier of Record

Submissions marked "COR6591 – Merchandise Supplier of Record " will be received by the City of Regina (see Part 1.5.1 of the RFP), no later than 2:00:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, on November 22, 2024.

The City seeks proposals for the supply and delivery of an e-commerce store and branded merchandise on an "as required" basis during the term of the contract as per Agreement attached to this solicitation document as Annex A.

Unless otherwise indicated, and subject to applicable exceptions and exclusions, this procurement is covered by:

Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement
Chapter 19 of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement
Article 14 of the New West Partnership Trade Agreement

There will not be a public opening however the list of firm names who submitted a response will be posted to the Sasktenders website.

This RFP would result in an agreement between the City and a promotional goods supplier. The City's Communications and Engagement team consistently uses a contracted supplier for promotional goods to help promote brand awareness and build the City brand within the community; these promotional goods have been a strong part of communications and branding strategies for years. Examples of previously ordered promotional goods include cups, mugs, mittens, blankets, tote bags, and sunglasses. Some items (e.g. mugs, tote bags) are kept in stock and used relatively consistently for City-run or City-sponsored events, while others are matched to the specific event for which they were ordered (e.g. sunglasses ordered for the Wascana Pool Grand Opening event).

The proponent may also be required to supply Employee Recognition merchandise or awards (e.g. Years of Service gifts, Retiree gifts and Excellence Award gifts).These gifts change on an annual basis. The proponent may also be asked to issue credits that carry over for employees to utilize after their award year.

The proponent may also be required to supply branded City of Regina merchandise to a variety of City of Regina departments on an “as needed” basis. The proponent may also be required to supply merchandise goods for Tourism Regina, and other City of Regina run organizations, on an “as needed” basis.

The proponent will be the sole licenser for selling City of Regina branded merchandise. The proponent is responsible for maintaining appropriate stock and managing e-commerce for both the City of Regina and I Love Regina merchandise.

The City’s logo is composed on an R letterform as a distinctive focal point, unique to the City of Regina and a way to articulate the community and corporate brand. The supplied merchandise will be required to have this logo placed at an a
