BULK DEICING SALT

Bidder SHALL COMPLETE EVERY SPACE in Section 2 (Bidders Proposal) column with either a check mark to indicate the item being bid is exactly as specified or a description to indicate any deviation of the item being bid from the specifications.   Failure to do so may result in bid rejection.

These specifications outline the minimum requirements for the furnishing and delivery of Bulk Deicing Salt.  The salt shall be delivered to the City of Junction City Public Works Facility.  It is to be delivered complete and ready for service, as specified, and shall be equipped with all of the manufacturers standard information as advertised, whether or not specifically mentioned in these specifications, in addition to all other information and attachments specified herein.

BULK DEICING SALT         Bulk Deicing Salt mined rock salt from 
                                                    natural salt deposit located below the surface.  
                                                    The product is translucent grey to white crystalline. 
                                                    Mined salt is crushed and hoisted to the surface 
                                                    where it is screened to size.  Stockpiled on the 
                                                    surface in a covered storage area.
                             

APPLICATIONS	          Bulk Deicing Salt is intended to melt ice 
                                                 and snow on roadways, parking lots or sidewalks.
                                                

COMPLIANCE                       Bulk Deicing Salt intended for use only 
                                                 as a chemical deicer on roadways, parking lots            
                                                 or sidewalks.  The salt complies with 
                                                 ASTM specification D632-01 Type1, Grade1.
