Project: Holland Rec Center

Project Description: Construction of an 86,000sf Multi-sport recreational facility in Holland, MI.

Bid Documents: Available on Procore at 5pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Contact Aaron

at Lakewood Construction for access to the documents on Procore.

Pre-Bid Meeting: There will be a non-mandatory informational meeting on Tuesday, September

29th at 3pm at Holland City Hall (Council Chambers). Questions and answers will be shared with all

bidders.

BIDS DUE: Bids will be due on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 1:00pm at Holland City Hall (Council

Chambers). All bids dropped off early shall be hand delivered to City Hall Finance Department (1st

Floor of City Hall) or hand delivered to Lakewood Construction's office by 11:00am. Bids may be

mailed to Lakewood Construction, 11253 James Street, Holland, MI 49424. Mailed bids must be

received no later than October 14, 2026 by 5:00 pm. FAXED OR EMAILED BIDS WILL NOT BE

ACCEPTED.

Contractors will be required to deliver their bids in sealed envelopes with their company name,

project name and work category clearly labeled on the front of the envelope – Refer to the

front end and work scope documents for additional information.

Notes: Owner shall have the right to accept or reject any and all bids.

Bid Forms must be filled out completely and in duplicate, and P&P bond cost shall be

included as part of the base bid total.

Each bid shall be accompanied by good and sufficient bid security or bid bond in an

amount not less than 5% of the Bid amount and shall secure the Owner from loss or

damage by reason of the withdrawal of the Bid by a Bidder or by failure of the successful

Bidder to enter into a Contract if their bid is accepted by the Owner.

Incomplete bid submissions will not be read.

Bid Opening: This will be a publicly opened bid, immediately following the bid due date

and time. Bids will be read in order of scope division number.

All project information (including Drawings, Specifications, Front end scope documents,

Project Schedule and Geotech Report) can be found on Procore through access given above.

Division 31 Sitework has already been awarded. No additional bids for Div 31 will be

considered.
