BACKGROUND

Ithaca Tompkins International Airport (ITH) is a vital hub connecting travelers to and from the Finger Lakes region of New York. Our airport provides essential services to passengers with a commitment to exceptional customer experience.

The Café/Giftshop and Bar at ITH play a crucial role in enhancing the overall traveler experience. These facilities serve as key amenities for passengers and airport visitors, offering a variety of food, beverages, and retail products. Our goal is to partner with a business who shares our commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Currently, we are seeking proposals from qualified persons/businesses to manage and operate the Café/Giftshop and Bar spaces at ITH. This RFP aims to identify a partner who can enhance our offerings, provide innovative services, and maintain high standards of service delivery. The selected supplier will contribute significantly to the overall ambiance and hospitality at ITH, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all airport patrons.

PLEASE NOTE:

We are seeking a supplier who will maintain regular operating hours for the café and bar, ensuring availability of food and beverage services on the secure side of the terminal during all flight operations. Must be operational at the time the checkpoint opens and until the flight(s) depart (wheels up). This will ensure that passengers have the ability to obtain food while on the secure side, even during a flight delay. It is imperative that the selected vendor is committed to providing consistent and reliable service to accommodate the needs of passengers and airport visitors alike. The non-secure side (café) must also maintain regular operating hours, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at minimum, but can negotiate and discuss options throughout the agreement.

PURPOSE OF REQUEST

Ithaca Tompkins International Airport (ITH) is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to operate and manage the café/giftshop and bar facilities within the terminal. The purpose of this request is to enhance the overall passenger experience by offering high-quality food and beverage options and a curated selection of retail products. The selected supplier will be expected to provide exceptional customer service, maintain consistent operating hours aligned with flight schedules, and contribute to the positive atmosphere of the airport environment.
