INVITATION FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the CITY OF FLOWOOD, MS will receive written sealed bids
until the hour of 2:00 PM on March 5, 2026, at the office of Flowood City Hall located at 2101
Airport Road, Flowood, MS 39232. Electronic bids may be submitted at
www.centralbidding.com. Sealed bids are for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the
construction of that certain project designated as:
REROOFING THE EXISTING FLOWOOD FIRE STATION NO. 1
Architect’s Project Number 24-040.1
Drawings and Specifications are on file at planroom.jaxblue.com and at the Office of the
Architect, WBA Architecture, at 2727 Old Canton Road, Suite 200, Jackson, MS 39216
The project consists of the reroofing of Fire Station No. 1 including a full membrane system and
a sheet metal coping system as described in the contract documents.
A non-mandatory inspection trip for prospective BIDDERS is scheduled as follows:
10:00 AM, February 18, 2026 at Flowood Fire Station No. 1 at 3480 Lakeland Drive,
Flowood, MS
The total Contract Time will be 60 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will
be $600.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
Copies of the plans and specifications, together with contract documents, may be obtained from
the office of Jackson Blueprint & Supply, Inc., 699 Monroe Street, Jackson MS 39202, (601)353-
5803, planroom.jaxblue.com. All costs for printing (if desired) shall be paid by the Bidder.
Bids shall be irrevocable for a period of sixty (60) days after submission and Bid security in the
form of a Bid Bond shall be required in a sum no less than five (5) percent of the Bid amount.
Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder and the CITY OF FLOWOOD reserves
the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
