FACILITATION OF THE REGIONAL OPEN SPACE & TRAILS COLLABORATIVE

The facilitation contract supports the ongoing efforts of ROST, ensuring continuous coordination, collaboration, and execution of strategic goals identified in both the SNS Regional Policy Plan and the ROST Strategic Plan. The contractor will oversee the administrative management of the contract, including preparing reports, processing invoices, and managing any sub-consultant agreements, while ensuring timely progress through regular communication and coordination with RTC staff.
Beyond meeting facilitation, the contractor will track the progress of regional open space and trails projects and engage with key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation. The contractor will also monitor performance metrics related to the ROST Strategic Plan and provide annual evaluation reports to assess progress and identify challenges.
Another component of the contractor’s role will be increasing visibility of ROST’s initiatives with external partners and the public through a comprehensive communications strategy. This will involve creating inclusive and accessible materials, including multilingual content, to promote public awareness of the regional open space and trails system. Throughout the contract, the contractor will be essential in ensuring effective coordination and communication to advance the collaborative’s mission.
Project is funded through the FY26-27 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), which is currently under development and will be approved prior to FY26. Task 601 of this program supports the MPO's role in administering the Southern Nevada Strong Regional Plan, which identifies ROST as a lead or supporting agency on many strategies related to the coordination and development of the region's outdoor recreation infrastructure, including parks, trails, multi-use/modal paths, and natural open space. This task also supports implementation of increasing access to federal lands across the region.
