Modular 4K Weather Camera Network

Project Description: Louisville Metro Emergency Services is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to design, provide, deploy, and support a modular and scalable 4K weather camera network. The proposed solution shall support real-time video streaming, weather data collection, and secure multi-agency access for operational awareness, emergency response, and public safety coordination. The system shall support phased and incremental deployment, allowing Louisville Metro to procure and deploy individual cameras, sensors, and monitoring capabilities over time without requiring a full system build-out at initial deployment. Core requirements include outdoor-rated 4K PTZ cameras, low-latency streaming, cloud or hybrid storage, role-based access control, and real-time weather data integration. Optional capabilities may include lightning detection, real-time alerting, and hazardous air monitoring integrated with NOAA ALOHA and other external systems. The network may be made available to public safety partners and the general public through controlled public-facing webpages.
