Description

The VA Central Western Massachusetts in Leeds, MA requires a contractor to perform work which includes upgrading of the electrical distribution system to comply with current VHA, NFPA, Joint Commission, NEC, and other regulations and guidelines. Completing circuit tracing, renovating generator buildings for egress, upgrading generator exhaust systems, installation of new conduits, rewiring generator Buildings to correct emergency power classifications, installation of new automatic transfer switches, new electrical panels, metering device installation, and associated demolition and supporting electrical work. The Contractor shall provide professional services to include all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, temporary power services, equipment and permits necessary to in accordance with the scope of work. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified SDVOSBs or VOSBs, WOSBs, and Small Businesses that have the experience with this type of work and if such firms are interested in this procurement. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS code is 238210 and the small business size standard is $19 Million. Interested firms should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer no later than 1:00 PM EST 1/23/2025, via email to Brian.Kelly@va.gov. The following information is required in response to this notice: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project and include your firm s name (as it appears in SAM.gov) SAM UEI number, and socio-economic status of the firm (i.e., verified SDVOSB or VOSB, WOSB, SB, or Large Business); (2) Provide examples of two (2) projects within the past five (5) years that contain the following criteria: (A) Renovating and installing campus electrical panels over 200 amps; (B) Phasing plan for electrical panel replacement in a healthcare facility; (3) Provide examples of two (2) projects within the past five (5) years that contain the following criteria (A) Programming, installing and upgrading building metering; (B) Circuit tracing, rerouting existing circuits and new interior electrical installations; (4) Provide examples of two (2) projects within the past five (5) years that contain the following criteria (A) Renovating and installation of automatic transfer switches within healthcare setting; (5) Prime shall provide proof of insurance and bonding for a construction project of this magnitude. Interested firms shall hold active SAM registration. Visit www.sam.gov to register in this database. SDVOSB or VOSB firms shall be certified by Veterans Small Business Certification (VetCert) (Veterans Small Business Certification (sba.gov). All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested firms. Failure to address all information requested in addition to the below form will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested concern. If adequate interest is not received by 1:00 PM EST on 1/23/25, this action will not be set-aside for SDVOSBs, VOSBs, WOSBs, or Small Business firms.
