Public Safety Uniforms, Apparel, and Related Accessories

The City of Surprise (the "City") is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of Public Safety Uniforms, Apparel, and Related Accessories for the Fire-Medical (SFMD) and Police (SPD) departments, collectively hereinafter be referred to as the "Public Safety" personnel. This solicitation incorporates three (3) separate uniform categories, consisting of Class A, B, and C type uniforms styles and specifications. The City's public safety departments may elect to purchase additional uniform styles to meet the needs of professional service titles not classified as Class A, B or C. The purpose of this solicitation is to enter into a multi-term contract, multiple vendor award to the Offerors who demonstrate they can provide quality products at a fair market price in at least one (1) of the categories per the specifications herein. The City anticipates multiple purchases throughout the year.

The Surprise Fire-Medical Department currently have the approved Class A uniforms with Lighthouse Uniform Company and desires to award a vendor who can maintain the same consistency and continuity of the department’s dress uniform program, or equivalent to ensure a professional and cohesive appearance among all personnel, including color continuity, product reliability, and the ability to expedite delivery of customized uniforms.

The Surprise Police Department strives for professionalism in appearance as well as performance for all members, as such, the department has authorized specific uniform and equipment items for department member wear/use.

The Class B and Class C uniforms are purchased locally within a walk-in retail store who a retailer that can specialize in offering a complete uniform set that may be sized, altered, or customizable to each person.
