Children and Family Services
Children and youth in out-of-home care are at an increased risk of poor sexual health outcomes, including sexual exploitation, abuse, and assault. These risks are well documented and are compounded by experience of trauma, instability, and disrupted caregiving relationships. Existing Children and Family Services (CFS) training related to sexual health is fragmented and largely reactive, and does not consistently support practitioners and caregivers in meeting their legislative and policy obligations. The Sexual Health Training Project seeks to address this gap by procuring a qualified vendor to design, develop, and deliver a cohesive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive training program that supports consistent, policy-aligned practice across the system.
