Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education (hereinafter "CMBE") is soliciting the submittal of qualification statements from experienced Architectural/Engineering firms interested in providing Design services for CMS facility demolition and upfit/renovation projects.
Scope of the Design services will include Civil, Architectural, and MEP disciplines, for
• Demolition of Smith Family Center, located adjacent to Collinswood Language Academy, 1600 Tyvola Road, Charlotte, NC.
• Upfit/renovation of (Old) Dorothy J. Vaughan Academy of Technology, 8601 Old Concord Road, Charlotte, NC, for Administrative Workspace Use.
• Other demolition and upfit/renovation projects as designated.

A virtual pre-proposal conference will be held Monday, May 11, 2026 @ 2:00 pm. Join the meeting now Meeting ID: 236 518 307 121 51 > Passcode: SL9YA7UA
The response will be due to CMS Auxiliary Services at 3301 Stafford Drive no later than 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, by mail or in person only. Any proposals received after this date and time will be returned unopened.
