Bid Notice: Grandville Sidewalk Improvement (Project 8471)
TIME AND PLACE OF OPENING OF BIDS:
Sealed proposals for the improvement described below will be received at the office of the Village of Gurnee, Engineering Division, 325 N. O’Plaine Road, Gurnee, Illinois 60031, until 10:00 A.M., February 23, 2026. Proposals will be opened and read publicly at that time.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
“Grandville Avenue Sidewalk Improvement”
Project # 8471
LOCATIONS:
• Grandville Avenue from Waveland Avenue to Boulevard View Avenue
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT:
Scope of work includes 8848 Square Feet of PCC Sidewalk, minor storm sewer improvements, minor pavement striping, and landscape restoration
BIDDERS INSTRUCTIONS:
- Plans and proposal forms will be available in the office of the Village of Gurnee, 325 N. O’Plaine Road, Gurnee, Illinois, 60031 for a non-refundable cost of $25. Construction bidding documents (drawings, specification, and addenda) can be distributed via the Village of Gurnee’s FTP site LiquidFile, for no additional cost, upon request.
- The Contractor must abide by the articles included in the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130).
- The awarding authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in Check Sheet LRS 6 of the “Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions,” prepared by the Department of Transportation. The contractor is not required to provide a guarantee in accordance with Sheet LRS 6.
