Bid Synopsis:
|
The City of Edgerton Sewer Utility is requesting sealed bid proposals by 4:00 P.M., August 7, 2025, for the replacement of the one aeration blower along with air piping replacements at the City’s Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF).
The project includes the following scope of supply:
-
The existing aeration blower No. 1 is to be removed and provided to the OWNER for their storage/use as they select/determine. This includes the control panel and related electrical connections. All control and electrical connections are to be terminated to allow future new connections to the new Aerzen aeration blower equipment.
-
Installation of one new Aerzen hybrid blower and associated equipment is to follow the removal of the existing equipment. Approved shop drawings for the new equipment are available upon request for determining the required work scope. The concrete pad for the blower also needs to be widened.
-
Following the installation of the new Aerzen aeration blower and associated equipment, the City/Other Contractors will complete the electrical/instrumentation/control upgrades for the project to attain operational level for the new equipment. Start-up operation of the new equipment is to be completed onsite with Aerzen representatives, electrical/control representatives and the CONTRACTOR representatives. Any adjustments/corrections/modifications are to be completed by the CONTRACTOR at this time. It is expected that this work is to be completed no later than December 19, 2025.
-
Additional work scope with this blower replacement is the installation of approximately 120 LF of 10” 304 SS Schedule 10 above grade air piping from the new Aerzen blower to the existing aeration basins.
The city has purchased new Aerzen blower equipment and is expecting delivery to the WWTF by October 31, 2025.
The sealed bid proposals are to be sent to Cedar Corporation, Attention Dave Sauer, P.E., 2820 Walton Commons West, Suite 142, Madison, WI 53718. Email: dave.sauer
