2027-07 Independence Day Celebration-Annual Fireworks Display

Project Description: The Town of Fairfield (Town) on behalf of its Parks & Recreation Department is seeking competitive bid proposals from licensed professional contractors to perform the annual Independence Day celebration fireworks display. The fireworks are required to be launched from a barge situated 1,200 feet offshore at Jennings Beach. The display should consist of minimum total of 2,100 shells and special effects barrages. Shells are required to range in size from three-inch (3”) through eight-inch (8”). Accurate shell quantities must be provided for all special effect barrages and grand finale presentation in the proposal.
The Contractor will supply the barge and tug, and the Town will provide a workboat to transport the Contractor’s employees to-and-from the barge once anchored off Jennings Beach. The Contractor will be responsible for all labor, dockage, crane service, shipping, delivery, loading of materials and marine site security. The barge must be securely anchored at both ends off Jennings Beach as indicated per the attached map. Contractor must provide schedule for delivery of the barge and all materials required to perform the fireworks display in proposal.
a. Provide lump sum amount for the fireworks display to be held the first week of July 2027.
b. Provide cost options for alternative display duration and shell count for consideration by Town.
