Summary
Volusia County’s Office of Recovery and Resiliency (ORR) is seeking construction services for this project to construct the Palmetto House Roof Replacement. This project is intended to aid in the recovery of Volusia County from the damage suffered from Hurricane Ian in September 2022 and this project is funded by a U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (“CDBG-DR”).
Background
The Palmetto House, located at 336 South Palmetto Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114, exceeds one story in height and is served by three distinct roof systems identified herein as the Top Roof, the Middle Roof, and the Bottom Roof. The combined roof area totals approximately 6,629 square feet across nineteen roof facets, with a predominant pitch of 3/12. The Top Roof and Middle Roof are framed at slope and are covered with laminated (architectural) composition shingles. The Bottom Roof is a low-slope assembly covered with a modified bitumen membrane.
