The City seeks professional engineering services from a qualified and experienced consulting firm to perform an engineering assessment of four existing potable water hydropneumatic pump stations. Such services shall include but not be limited to: coordination with City operations and City engineering staff; research/review the record drawings and site conditions; conduct the required engineering calculations to determine the hydraulic capacity of the pumps, assess whether or not the existing piping/equipment configuration best provides the required flow rate for the served zone, develop a preliminary design report (PDR) to include recommendations regarding piping, standby engine generator incorporation, flow requirements, wildfire requirements necessary for the zone as well as nearby agency (Southern California) similar improvement/regulations; attend monthly coordination meetings as needed with the City’s Project Manager, coordinate and attend a workshop to provide the draft recommendations, incorporate the draft recommendations into a final project pump station flow capacity, configuration and operation analysis document, prepare and finalize the assessment based on City input.
