Cecil County Department of Public Works (DPW) is soliciting proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide on-call wastewater engineering services under an open-end contract. Services may include, but are not limited to, planning, design, construction phase services, and related tasks for complex wastewater projects.
Services will be authorized on an as-needed basis through individual task orders issued by the County during the term of the contract.
Cecil County operates 5 wastewater treatment plants, two major plants of up to 2 MGD capacity and 3 minor plants 63, 150 and 250 KGD capacities respectively. Each plant serves a different catchment area consisting of a variety of gravity and pumped collection systems. Piping primarily consists of PVC, HDPE, Terra Cotta, ductile, and a limited amount of transite. New projects for this cycle are expected to include pump station repairs and upgrades, collection system expansion, remedial projects to address I&I and structural defects in the collection system, upgrade of the County septic dumping station, planning for dewatering upgrade at North East River Advanced Wastewater plant and wastewater treatment plant repairs and upgrades amongst others.
