Traffic Control Services and Rentals

The purpose of this RFP is to seek proposals from qualified firms that can perform any of the various services for the City on an as-needed, contractual basis including, but not limited to:

1. Traffic Control Services
2. Traffic Control Equipment Rental

These services are typically unplanned or considered emergency work for which staff is either not available, or which requires specialized equipment, skill, and/or knowledge of a general contractor. Depending on the quality and quantity of responses, the City may contract with several firms for each noted area of service need. The contracts will expire on December, 31 2031.

Proposers may bid on one or both categories as they are qualified to provide service as more specifically identified in the Scope of Work.

The City of Thousand Oaks is located in eastern Ventura County and consists of 56 square miles. The City population is approximately 122,000. The City is a general law city operating under the Council/Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of five elected members through district-based elections, with one member serving as Mayor on an annual basis.
