Title: Solar Powered E-Bike Charging Station- Re-Bid for 2025-RFP-039
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 8/8/2025
Due Date: 8/29/2025
The City of Sierra Vista is seeking qualified firms' proposals to build and install a solar powered e-bike charging station that will be placed outside the Sierra Vista Public Library. The City expects to award to the highest ranked proposal based on a set of pre-determined criteria as set forth in this RFP. This purchase is being funded in whole or in part by a Department of Energy voucher and as such will be subject to federal requirements under 2CFR 200. All work done onsite will be subject to Davis Bacon requirements.
Electric bikes, electric scooters and the like provide a convenient means of commute with a multitude of benefits such as door-to-door connectivity, low (indirect) emissions, reduced traffic, and parking congestion and a fraction of the energy usage of an electric car. By providing a charging station and powering it with solar energy, e-bikes can be made into a fully sustainable means of transportation.
