Notice To Bidders
The Town of Colonie (“Town”) invites bids for the following:
RFB: Tree Removal and Trimming HWY II 2026 JB387
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing, Memorial Town Hall, Latham, NY
12110 until July 1, 2026 1:00 PM local time. At that time and place all bids will be publicly
opened and read aloud.
All bidders shall comply with the N.Y. Gen. Mun. Law §103.
Beginning on June 17, 2026, the solicitation documents for this matter will be on file and publicly
exhibited at the Office of Purchasing, 534 New Loudon Road, Memorial Town Hall, Latham, NY
12110. Copies of said documents may be obtained at that address. Complete bid documents
may also be available for download from the Empire State Purchasing Group’s web site at
http://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york.
Bids shall be submitted at the time and place indicated in the Notice to Bidders and shall be
enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope. The opaque envelope shall be marked on the outside
with the project title and name and address of the bidder. The submission shall consist of the
completed pages of this document marked “TO BE SUBMITTED,” and any other required
documents. The submission shall also include, if required in the Notice to Bidders, the bid
security. If the bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope
containing the bid shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED"
on the face thereof AND the outer envelope shall be marked on the outside with the project title
and name and address of the bidder.
At the execution of the anticipated contract, the Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a
performance bond equal to 100% of the full amount of its bid; provided that with the approval of
the Town, the Successful Bidder may be allowed to substitute, as an alternative to the
performance bond, an indemnity agreement acceptable to the Town along with cash, an
irrevocable letter of credit from a banking organization, or a certified check.
At the execution of the anticipated contract, the Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a
labor and materials payment bond in an amount equal to the full amount of its bid.
The Town of Colonie reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids
submitted.
