Statement of Work
Grounds Power Washing Updated as of 03/27/2025

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to ensure that Power washing services are performed at Jesse Brown VAMC in a manner that will maintain a satisfactory and safe environment to pedestrians and for passenger drop-off.

JBVAMC seek to restore sanitation and beautify the Campus Building and grounds utilizing Power-washing, germicidal solution, and brightening agents. The priority areas (all details are as identified on Zones for Power Washing Map) are:

South Damen Avenue: Clean wall building Zone 1 and Zone 4 and entry area on Damen Ave. Limestone block Fasciae (Labeled Front Fascia Span 1 and Fascia 3) and door entry fasciae. Front of 820 South Damen. Restore block and apply stone treatment. Power wash / High Pressure steam Damen Sidewalk and Driveway (Z1, Z2, Z3 (a and b). removing all dirt, grease, gum, mold, mildew, spills, and contaminants. Including rubber marks from curbs. Clearing all debris from cleaning.

Ogden Circle Drive: Clean Awning and Canopy Z11, Z9 (a, b, and c), and Z5 clean and low-pressure rinse area is labeled Z7(a and b), Z9(a, b, and c). This work is including walkways, planter boxes, and security pillars. Clean concrete sidewalk and asphalt (Z8, Z10, Z12) removing all dirt, grease, gum, mold, mildew, spills, and contaminants. Including rubber marks from curbs. Clearing all debris from cleaning. Clean Z6 Dock. see Zones for Power Washing Map.

Courtyard: Labeled Z16. This work entails Fascia and walkway which can be accomplished anytime weekday or weekend. There is 8 walk that circles the patio. A 1 story fasciae on North end and 2Story fasciae that runs length of East wall (Z16) approx. 90 Clean Limestone walls restoring original finish and applying Stone treatment to seal finish. Clean concrete walkway steam high pressure cleaning removing all dirt, grease, mold, gum, and other contaminants restoring natural concrete. See Zones for Power Washing Map.

Taylor Street Entrance: This entrance is noted as Z13 on Power Washing map. Clean stairs and walkway as previously illustrated. Low pressure cleaning and restoration of awning. see Zones for Power Washing Map.

Taylor street Dock: Clean and Sanitize dock and dock parking area noted on map as: Z6 and walkway Z5, includes area Z4. see Zones for Power Washing Map.

Polk Street dock: Clean and Sanitize dock and dock parking area. Z15 on area map. Dock is 8 *50
All areas will be disinfected with The Power washing of Entrances, Docks and Driveway. All work shall be performed on weekends.

Is it possible to perform work after hours??
YES

Is it possible to temporarily close off Ogden Circle Drive and the dock area at Z15 doors to stop traffic during sealant application and drying time? Sealant has been removed from the SOW.

Is it possible to close the parking exit at Z10 after hours due to the sealant application? Sealant has been removed from the SOW

It has been observed that some of the drains are clogged with debris in Z4 and Z6 due to the volume of water can the drains be cleared prior to the Power Washing being done??
Facility will look into this, but it may fall under the cities responsibility

It has been observed in the Ogden Circle Drive of the SOW that there is concrete and asphalt. Can you indicate was Zones Contain the Asphalt?? It is all concrete.
