Solicitation Description:

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) seeks to procure Ignition software application, an industrial automation and SCADA software platform, to modernize and enhance real time monitoring, data acquisition, and operational visibility of WMATAÂ¿s elevator and escalator assets across the transit system. WMATA maintains 374 elevators and 647 escalators systemwide. Data is collected from this equipment through a Data Concentrator (DCON) located at each station. We currently maintain about 110 DCON units for the remote monitoring system. The Ignition platform solution will support improved equipment reliability, faster maintenance response, and more robust systemwide performance reporting.
