The Town of Williston is soliciting established Landscaping Companies for the Spring planting of flowers at the following locations listed in Attachment A.

Any questions about the project should be directed to Bruce K. Hoar by April 14, 2026 after which no more questions will be accepted.

All bids must be received by the Town no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 16 2026. Bids should be submitted via email at bhoar@willistonvt.org.

1. Introduction
The Town of Williston is soliciting established Landscaping Companies for the
Spring planting of flowers at the following locations listed in Attachment A.
2. Scope of Work
This project consists of planting and maintaining flower beds at various locations
throughout town. This includes preparing the beds for planting by composting,
edging and removing weeds before planting. It also includes planting, replacing
and overall maintenance of the annuals throughout the season to include weeding,
watering and fertilization needed to maintain the flowers in a healthy condition.
Any perennials already in the planting beds will be maintained. Flowers types
are listed in Attachment B. Example pictures located at end of this RFP.
3. Contract period and budget
3.1. This work will commence no later than May 16, 2026 and continue until
October 1, 2026 and no later than October 15, 2026.
3.2. The amount of budgeted funds available for this work is $7,000 to
$10,000.
4. Selection Process
The selection will be based on a review and evaluation of bids received. Also, but
not limited to the following criteria:
4.1. Experience and success of past projects.
4.2. Demonstration of knowledge of the project and related issues.
4.3. Clarity of the bid and thoroughness in addressing the scope of work
4.4 Contractor responsible for all proper work signage and safety equipment
as may be required for work in State ROW.
5. Submissions
The following are guidelines for statements of qualification submitted in response
to this bid:
5.1. Bids must be submitted as described in 5.2 below:
Name and address of the Company.

Also include:
References for past projects.
Proof of Insurance in the amounts requested and with the Town
named as additionally insured.
Company established for at least five years.
5.2. All bids must be received by the Town no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 16
2026. Statements and/or modifications received after this time will not
be accepted or reviewed. No statements received by facsimile machine.

The actual bid must be an attachment and the email shall be clear
that it is for Williston FY26 -27 Flower Bid.
5.3. All bids upon submission become the property of the Town of Williston.
The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids received, to negotiate
with any qualified source. This solicitation in no way obliges Williston to
award a contract.
5.4. Payment to be made in 3 equal installments.
1st payment after initial plantings.
2nd payment after July 1st
3rd payment after removal and cleanup in the fall.
5.5. Any Questions about the project should be directed to Bruce K. Hoar by
April 14, 2026 after which no more questions will be accepted.
