Independent owner/operator school bus driver needed for an established route. Drivers are

independent contractors, and are not employees of the Orange Board of Education. The

successful candidate will adhere to the rates and terms of the existing Transportation

Agreement of the Orange Board of Education. The current term of the Agreement is 7/1/2024

thru 6/30/2027. Candidates wishing to secure the route permanently, must have a bus that is

no more than seven years old from the year of the contract year. Type I School Bus, painted

Standard yellow, with a minimum capacity of seventy one (71) students in operation prior to the

start of the 2026- 27 school year. The bus used in the performance of this route shall be located

and taxed in the Town of Orange to ensure timely implementation of routes and availability for

early/late routes during inclement weather, or any other change in school start or dismissal

time. Purchase documentation shall be made available for review by the B.O.E or its agents.
