Bid Notice- Electronic Bid Forrest Avenue Stormwater Improvements- 250006

Sealed proposals will be received by the Village of Arlington Heights, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois, until 1:00 PM Central Standard Time on March 19, 2025 at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

The project consists of drainage improvements, including storm sewers and appurtenances, stormwater detention, ditches, and associated ancillary work like sidewalk and curb restoration, pavement patching, landscape restoration, etc., to help alleviate residential flooding along the 600-700 block of North Forrest Avenue, north of Euclid Avenue to north of Hawthorne Street. A new underground storm water storage vault will also be installed underneath Klehm Park.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on 2:00 PM Central Standard Time on March 13, 2025 in Engineering Conference Room, Village of Arlington Heights, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005

The Affidavit of Availability must be submitted with the proposal, showing all uncompleted contracts awarded to them and all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal and private work.  Bidders shall comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate Act (820 ILCS 130/), the IDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, adopted January 1, 2022, and the IDOT Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions, adopted January 1, 2024. Bidders will also be required to comply with the applicable equal employment opportunity provisions.

All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid in the form of a certified check, bid bond or cashier’s check made payable to the Village of Arlington Heights. No bids shall be considered unless accompanied by such security.

Bidders shall comply with the Prevailing Wage Rate Act (820 ILCS 130). Bidders will also be required to comply with the applicable equal employment opportunity provisions.

The Village of Arlington Heights reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities in bidding and to accept the proposal deemed by the Board of Trustees to be the most favorable to the interests of the Village.
